Chiarelli and Laveau Take Fort Worth by Storm

It was a busy day yesterday at the 2018 Metallic Cat NCHA Summer Spectacular for Carly Chiarelli and Olive Martini (Metallic Cat x Martinis Miss Peppy)! They not only topped the cumulative score going into the Classic Non-Pro finals, they finished the day with a Championship!

Carley and “Laveau” marked a 222 to claim the Classic Limited Non-Pro Championship making it look easy! These two have turned into quite the team since she purchased the mare from Matt and Megan Miller in December, but this show has been a little bit different. Carly went into this show thinking about slowing down. Both she and Laveau love to go fast but listening to the advice of her helping team she went into the pen cool, calm, and collected this time! It has been a recipe for near perfection thus far and fun to watch. There is no denying Carly loves this mare and, in her words, “she is just perfect”. There are some that just standout and hold a special place in our hearts making their success that much better!

Reserve Champion was Gentry Gonsalves riding Georgia Bootlegger (Dual Smart Rey x Cats Barmaid Chick) marking a 217! They are another dynamic duo to look for at these events along with Gentry’s mom Jessica as they both show this talented gelding.

Third Place was Ryann Packard riding Peptos Scootin Man (Smart Lil Scoot x Peptos Little Gal) marking a 215.
