Cole Rothwell and Khaleesi Cat Take Derby Limited Non Pro Championship

Yesterday evening was the last of the Limited finals to be held at the 2017 NCHA Summer Spectacular. Cole Rothwell and his mare Khaleesi Cat (Jazarell Cat x Bobbie Boonsmal) marked a 221 for the win and a check amounting to $8,485! Cole and “Jazzy” have been so consistent this year it is not a surprise to see them capture their first win in Will Rogers Arena.

We have seen them in just about every Non Pro and Limited Non Pro finals starting with being a finalist at the 2016 NCHA Futurity. Jazzy is one that just keeps getting better and better, she just seems to like the spotlight! Cole went on to tell us that she is a different horse in the practice pen and the show pen; she seems to know when the money is up and kicks it up a notch! Like many talented ladies she is a bit of a diva but that is something to be expected and just part of the overall package. She was purchased as a three year old from Troy Riddle who still is the trainer for Cole and has been involved in his show career since he was a youth. Look out for this pair in the Non Pro Finals that will be held this evening as well!
