Wood Stands out at the Bonanza!
Author: Lauren Middleton
Kobie Wood stood out among the crowd yesterday marking a 222 aboard he and his wife Paula's stallion Cool N Hot (Hottish x Donas Cool Cat). The win added another $34,570.00 to his career earnings after just finishing third in the Derby Open at the Ike Derby and Classic just last week. It is looking to be a great year setting up for this duo even after a brief hideous for Kobie. He had to sit the Ike out due to an injury and trainer Sean Flynn showed the young stallion with great success.

Kobie believes in this horse had no problem trusting him to handle these tough cows, so in true Kobie fashion he finished his run strong chipping a cow right off of the top of the herd. It was a game of experience and cow smarts that won out, of which this team is not lacking! Kobie is just happy to be among the outstanding horses and riders. He has done more than held his own this time and we are sure there will be plenty of people wanting to add a little more of Kobie's style in their programs following this big win!
