Tack Theft Rising in North Texas

It can take years to accumulate all of the tack and supplies you need on your ranch, and every item is typically significant. Unfortunately, there has recently been a significant rise in equipment theft, and ranchers and tack companies have been at the center of it all.

We have seen bits, bridles, headstalls, leather-making tools and saddles, posted stolen, and the thieves have been focusing on high-end products. It is clear that this individual or group knows how to identify high-quality and valuable products, and for that reason, officials believe the incidents to be thoroughly planned and premeditated.

The authorities are now looking at actively investigating this as a series of organized crimes. Well-known local silversmith & bit maker, Daryl Davis, would like to raise as much awareness about these events as possible, in an effort to encourage people to use as many security precautions as possible and raise awareness about these burglaries.

If you live in or around Parker County or the North Texas region, have had tack stolen from your ranch, trailer or business and you have not already spoken to Daryl, please contact him as soon as possible. He is putting together a list of victims to offer to the authorities to be included in the investigation.

Daryl is also setting up a reward fund that anyone can donate to. The money raised will be used as a reward for any person who gives information that leads to a conviction in association with these crimes.

Contact Daryl Davis to report your case or donate to the reward fund at PH: 817-304-0505

Stay safe, everyone!
